Overview

SEA-LION v4 is the latest iteration of AI Singapore’s regional foundation model, built on Gemma 27B and Qwen 32B bases and optimized for 11 Southeast Asian languages including Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, and Malay.[1] The updated playground gives developers and policymakers an easy way to test multilingual chat, translation, and policy‑simulation use cases in a single interface.[1] It is aimed at government, financial, and education projects across Singapore and neighboring countries that need strong regional language coverage without depending solely on Western LLMs.[1]
