In mid-August 2026, Maharashtra approved a sovereign AI package featuring Sarvam AI’s Indus workspace along with voice agents and speech models for its MahaAI platform.[7][9] Indus provides a full-stack enterprise and consumer AI environment designed in India, supporting secure document workflows, generative assistance, and domain-specific agents for government operations.[9] The deployment signals production readiness for large-scale, regulated environments and includes integrations with Samvaad and other Sarvam speech technologies.
