Sahabat-AI is GoTo’s generative AI assistant for its Gojek and GoPay apps in Indonesia, based on SEA-LION and tuned for Bahasa Indonesia and local customer journeys.[1] The assistant handles voice and chat interactions for ride‑hailing, payments, and support, aiming to simplify complex flows like dispute resolution and subscription management.[1] It is one of the first large‑scale consumer deployments of a Southeast Asia‑tuned open model in everyday mobile apps.[1]
