Overview

Safer-dependencies is an open-source security tool that audits packages added by AI coding agents such as Claude Code, checking for known vulnerabilities, typosquats, and other supply chain risks.[3] It integrates into agent workflows to evaluate newly suggested libraries before they are committed to a project. Developers should care because it adds a defensive layer around automated dependency management, which is a growing risk area as agents gain more autonomy.[3]
