Overview

Pacer is an open-source monitoring and pacing tool for Claude Code that surfaced as a Show HN project on August 20, 2026.[9] It provides dashboards and alerts to track tokens, sessions, and estimated spend, enabling teams to control usage of AI coding assistants. Self-hosted deployment lets engineering orgs integrate the metrics into existing observability stacks and enforce guardrails on assistant consumption.
