Overview

Kakao joined the Korean government’s AI for All initiative in August 2026, which aims to provide free nationwide AI services built on domestic models. The service is planned as a chatbot first, then an AI agent for public services, with beta expected by late September and full rollout later in the year.[31][36][41]
